Our Team

Phillip Breckler, RA, ICAA

Architect,

“Sacred architecture should guide the soul as much as the body.”

Phillip serves as the design lead for many of the religious projects at DC. While studying architecture in undergrad, he became heavily involved with the Newman Center at Ball State University and then served two years as a Fellowship of Catholic University Students missionary, leading Bible studies and mentoring college students prior to continuing his studies at the University of Notre Dame.

As a practicing Catholic, Phil brings a personal understanding of the traditions, symbolism, and sacred rituals that shape worship. His background in liturgical design allows him to thoughtfully integrate these elements into architecture that honors both faith and community. Phil serves as a liturgical design specialist—helping guide spatial organization, sacred elements, and experiential qualities that support reverence, procession, and prayer. His ability to balance technical requirements with cultural and spiritual meaning makes him a valuable contributor to creating sacred spaces that feel authentic, welcoming, and enduring.
