Project Architect / Project Manager (IN/CLT)

Experienced PA/PM

Design Collaborative is seeking a full-time Project Architect / Project Manager (PA/PM) with the skill set and passion to lead the design process. We are adding a new PA/PM role who will become a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, and they will lead the design efforts on a wide range of projects. They will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of a project, including the project team, resources, scheduling, and budget. This individual will play a key role through their ability to build relationships, lead and manage projects, and assist in the selection and development of interns and new hires to grow the team. Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an NCARB accredited school
  • Registered Architect (RA) licensure preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience with an architecture/design firm
  • Commercial design experience in one or more of the following markets: Healthcare, Community, Education, Multi-Family/Multi-Use, Workplace, Financial or Industrial.
  • Prior experience working directly with clients and contractors
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and coordinate schedules
  • Ability to shift from big picture awareness to technical details, ensuring the highest level of quality
  • Ability to retain and grow existing commercial clients and develop and market to new clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of BIM modeling
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills internally within a team as well as externally with current or prospective, clients, consultants, and community members.
  • Strong leadership aptitude and a desire to grow in a leadership capacity in the future.
  • Experience successfully taking projects from programming through construction
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project process from Conceptual Design through Construction Administration
  • Prepare and conduct presentations of ideas to clients, contractors, and colleagues
  • Modeling, drafting, and detailing architectural designs through Design Development and Construction Documents using CAD and BIM software
  • Coordinate architectural, interior, engineering and consulting disciplines throughout the project
  • Set and meet project design goals, schedules, and budgets
  • Conduct on-site construction observations and documenting site reviews
  • Participate in client and project team meetings
  • Prioritize being highly integrated and collaborative within the firm to build upon the organizations strong culture, and lead efforts to embody the five core values to foster this within your assigned location.
