St. Rita’s Cancer Center needed an updated linear accelerator system. In addition to installing a new linear accelerator, Design Collaborative updated the flooring, walls, lighting, and ceiling finishes.

Collaboration SpaceLocated in the St. Rita’s Cancer Center, this project included the replacement of the existing Varian linear accelerator system with a new Varian True BEAM linear accelerator system.
The team worked closely with St. Rita’s Cancer Center staff and the Varian team to identify and document the existing infrastructure within the vault, equipment room, and control area and then developed a strategy for the most efficient and accurate design and installation for the new linear accelerator system.Modifications were made within the vault as well as in the equipment room and control area to accommodate the new equipment and support technologies. The spaces were also upgraded with new flooring, wall, and ceiling finishes as well as new LED lighting. |
