WHO
Design Collaborative is an architecture / engineering / interior design firm located in downtown Fort Wayne. We will soon be recruiting new high school students to interview for a spot in our high school intern program. Typically, we are looking for juniors and seniors with an interest in architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, interior design, or marketing/graphic design.
What
Each semester, we have (1) high school intern who works approximately 20 hours a week while they go to school. Typically, our students work in 4-hour blocks, either from 8:00 to noon or from 1:00 to 5:00. We can work with special school activities, practices, etc. The internship is paid, and students are not required to be here when not in school (ie: holidays and breaks, etc.)
- Full semester long internship
- Paid at $15/hour
- Student shall be able to provide their own transportation during internship hours for errands (mileage would be reimbursed)
WHEN
**Interested candidates: Please return both the attached application and your resume by Mon, April 20 to Rebecca Martin at rmartin@designcollaborative.com. If you are selected to move forward with an interview, you will be contacted by Fri, April 24.**
Interviews for selected candidates will be conducted between Tues, April 28 – Fri, May 1. We ask that these selected students put together a 5-7 minute “presentation” in any format they like (Powerpoint, Prezi, etc.). We want the presentation to answer, “Why Me? And Why DC?” so we get to learn more about who you are and why you want to work with us. We encourage everyone to be creative.
Any questions? Email Rebecca Martin.
