High School Intern

Fort Wayne, Indiana

WHO

Design Collaborative is an architecture / engineering / interior design firm located in downtown Fort Wayne. We will soon be recruiting new high school students to interview for a spot in our high school intern program. Typically, we are looking for juniors and seniors with an interest in architecture, engineering, interior design, or marketing/graphic design.

What

Each semester, we have (1) high school intern who works approximately 20 hours a week while they go to school. Typically, our students work in 4-hour blocks, either from 8:00 to noon or from 1:00 to 5:00. We can work with special school activities, practices, etc. The internship is paid (minimum wage) and students are not required to be here when not in school (ie: holidays and breaks, etc.)

  • Full semester long internship
  • Paid at minimum wage
  • Student shall be able to provide their own transportation during internship hours
  • Be sure to point out any experience or exposure to the following software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Autodesk Revit, Google Sketchup, etc.
WHEN

**Interviews will take place the week of April 25-29 for the following 2022-2023 Fall and Spring Semesters**

We ask that students put together a 5 – 7 minute “presentation” in any format they like (Prezi, PowerPoint, etc). We want the presentation to answer “Why Me? and Why DC?” so we get a feel for who they are and why they want to work with us. We encourage students to be creative.

Any interested candidates are encouraged to reach out and send their resume to Rebecca Martin at rmartin@designcollaborative.com.
