High School Intern

Fort Wayne, Indiana

WHO

Design Collaborative is an architecture / engineering / interior design firm located in downtown Fort Wayne. We will soon be recruiting new high school students to interview for a spot in our high school intern program. Typically, we are looking for juniors and seniors with an interest in architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, interior design, or marketing/graphic design.

What

Each semester, we have (1) high school intern who works approximately 20 hours a week while they go to school. Typically, our students work in 4-hour blocks, either from 8:00 to noon or from 1:00 to 5:00. We can work with special school activities, practices, etc. The internship is paid, and students are not required to be here when not in school (ie: holidays and breaks, etc.)

  • Full semester long internship
  • Paid at $14/hour
  • Student shall be able to provide their own transportation during internship hours for errands (mileage would be reimbursed)
WHEN

**Interested candidates: Please return both DC’s application and your resume by Friday, April 4 to Rebecca Martin at rmartin@designcollaborative.com. You will be contacted by end-of-day Thursday, April 10 letting you know if we intend to move forward with an interview.**

Interviews for selected candidates will be conducted during the week of April 14-18. We ask that students put together a 5-7 minute “presentation” in any format they like (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.). We want the presentation to answer, “Why Me? And Why DC?” so we get to learn more about who you are and why you want to work with us. We encourage everyone to be creative.

Any questions? Email Rebecca Martin at rmartin@designcollaborative.com.
