Learning by Design, Outstanding Project 2010

The University of Indianapolis’ East Residence Hall was designed with a highly sustainable precast building stone made of all-natural raw materials.

The hall features several gathering spaces including a bistro and lounge, conference rooms, offices, and a Residential Director suite.

There are kitchenettes on each floor, laundry facilities, and wi-fi access.

This four-story, 62,200 SF facility was designed with autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), which is a highly sustainable precast building stone made of all-natural raw materials. It provides structure, insulation, and fire resistance in a single material.
