The space is bright and open through the use of specified interior colors, highlighting exterior windows, and the placement of low-profile LED light fixtures.
To carry the benefits of daylight into the unit, sliding full-glass ICU doors with electrochromic glass (transparent to opaque) were chosen which allows daylight to filter beyond the patient rooms while still having the capability to provide privacy when needed. Warm wood tone surfaces mirror the interior of recently renovated med-surg rooms to provide a similar look and feel. |
