Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast – Respiratory Care Simulation Lab

With enrollment growing, Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast was in need of an expanded respiratory care simulation lab to replace its undersized, outdated space. Situated in a former theater space, the newly 5,100 SF simulation lab was designed as two major components, the lecture space and the simulation lab. Compressed air was used in the sim lab in lieu of oxygen, a decision that kept the space completely functional and more economical. The resulting space has reinvigorated the respiratory care program and provided a highly effective recruiting tool and modern, vibrant learning environment in a previously under-utilized space.
