Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast – Respiratory Care Simulation Lab

With enrollment growing, Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast needed an expanded respiratory care simulation lab to replace its undersized, outdated space. Situated in a former theater space, the new 5,100 SF simulation lab was designed with two major components: a lecture space and a simulation lab. Compressed air was used in the sim lab in lieu of oxygen, a decision that kept the space completely functional and more economical. The resulting space has reinvigorated the respiratory care program and provided a highly effective recruiting tool and modern, vibrant learning environment in a previously under-utilized space.
