Barnes & Thornburg
Fort Wayne, IN
Law firm Barnes and Thornburg wanted an office that promoted connection and interaction between staff and clients. Their previous location consisted of mostly private offices with very limited community spaces. To combat this, we designed a 15,000-sf sophisticated, but not opulent, space featuring glass walls that allow for privacy and visibility, as well as provide access to natural light. Each room features unique LED light fixtures and a curated art collection. A variety of wood ceilings is found throughout the office, all featuring an individual profile while using the same wood tone. To connect the indoors to the outdoors, Indiana’s largest green roof, Skyline Park, is accessed from the office. The office is designed with an intentional sense of community meant to draw people out of their offices and into shared spaces.
