What a wonderful start to the new year as we welcome several new people to the DC team! 2022 is a year for growth and adventure, and Design Collaborative is ready to take this year in stride, giving all we’ve got to serve our clients and the community.

A warm welcome to our new full-time team members!

Our three new full-time hires are Jessica Detweiler – a new project manager on DC’s healthcare team, Emily Aneshansley – a mechanical designer for the healthcare team, and Shayla Hudson, our new project administrator.

Jessica graduated from Ball State University with her Master’s in Architecture and has been an architect and project manager in Fort Wayne for over a decade, with a focus on the healthcare industry. She recently received her ACHA (American College of Healthcare Architects) Certification.

Shayla graduated from the University of Dayton with her Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communication, and Public Relations. She was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and played volleyball through college.

Emily graduated from The Ohio State University with her Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business. She loves to volunteer, hike, play board games, and has done thorough research on Gear Efficiency.

Congratulations to Terry Wagner on his “retirement.”

Terry, one of the founders of Design Collaborative and after almost 30 years of being an integral part of DC, is stepping off into the sunset of retirement – with the occasional phone call, meeting, or project question sprinkled here and there. Terry is known for his sparkling sense of humor, hilarious emails, and his love for ducks (mostly hunting them). In honor of his legacy at DC, we are re-designing one of our conference rooms to be named Mallard’s Landing. Although Terry is retiring, do not despair – you’ll likely still see him at the occasional Beer:30, cracking jokes and keeping the party alive. Thank you for all that you’ve done, Terry!
