Project Details
Partnering with an out-of-state architectural firm, our goal was to create a modern, durable, and user-friendly space where users could seek respite from the elements while waiting for buses.
Understanding that our primary users would be public transportation users, we aimed to create a space that would withstand repeated use and still maintain a modern aesthetic and function.Project goals included designing a space that would provide safety and security even during nighttime. We incorporated both indoor and outdoor cameras which not only recorded activity but also sent feeds in real-time to the Fort Wayne Police Department via a leased fiber. This addition not only improved safety but also allowed users to feel safer. We leveraged the technology of real-time tracking and installed reader boards at the outdoor canopy that indicated the exact arrival time of buses. This enabled additional convenience and efficiency is available to the commuters. |
