Architectural Project Manager (FW)

Design Collaborative is seeking a full-time Architectural Project Manager with the skill set and passion to lead the design process and a multi-disciplinary design team. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, and they will lead the design efforts on a wide range of commercial design projects. They will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of a project, including the project team, resources, scheduling, and budget. This individual will play a key role in the continued success of the team through their ability to build relationships, lead and manage projects, and assist with the mentorship and growth of team members. Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an NCARB-accredited school
  • Registered Architect (RA) licensure preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience with an architecture/design firm
  • 3+ years’ experience in Architectural Project Management
  • Commercial design experience in one or more of the following markets: Healthcare, Education, Workplace, Financial or Industrial
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and coordinate schedules
  • Ability to shift from big picture awareness to technical details, ensuring the highest level of quality
  • Knowledge and understanding of BIM modeling
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills internally within a team as well as externally with current or prospective, clients, consultants, and members of the community
  • Strong leadership aptitude and a desire to grow in a leadership capacity
  • Experience successfully taking projects from programming through construction
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, design integrity, and timely delivery.
  • Team Coordination: Manage collaboration between in-house architecture, MEP, and interior design teams across both office locations.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop and manage project schedules, staffing, and budgets to meet deadlines and financial goals.
  • Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, guiding project vision and ensuring satisfaction throughout.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee design documentation, code compliance, and coordination of building systems.
  • Permitting & Approvals: Manage submittals, coordinate with local jurisdictions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Construction Administration: Lead construction phase services, including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists.
  • Mentorship: Support the development of junior staff and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
  • Technology & Workflow: Utilize BIM and project management tools to streamline coordination and documentation.
  • Multi-Office Collaboration: Ensure consistent project delivery and communication between both firm locations.
