Grace College – The Lodge
Grace College was in need of a large residence hall for students to call home. Design Collaborative created a space that resembled a lodge to give students a break from traditional collegiate buildings.

Residence Hall, Student Lounge, Study Areas, Furniture Design Coordination, Collaboration Space, Higher Education, Community HubGrace College needed an additional residence hall, and was faced with the challenge of building one on a hillside.
The residence hall intentionally looks like a lodge to break away from the traditional collegiate dorm appearance. The 16,600-sf building features vinyl siding of various sizes on the exterior. This fresh use of affordable materials creates architectural detail at a great value. Inside, a large lounge allows students to socialize and study in comfortable furniture beside a beautiful stone fireplace. An overlooking lounge features a social nook and study nook.
