DC25: Celebrating 25 Years of Design

Twenty-five years later, our mission remains to improve people's worlds.

On a snowy January day in 1992, a new design firm opened in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With determination in their eyes, hope in their hearts, and zero projects on the boards, Pat Pasterick, Ron Dick, and Terry Wagner officially opened the doors of Design Collaborative to the world. Over the next 25 years, DC would grow from a partnership of three to nearly sixty, with work throughout the United States.

A lot of things have changed over the years—trends, markets, technology, hairstyles—but some things will always be the same. First, we’ll always be in Downtown Fort Wayne. It’s our home and our heart, and the center of a thriving revival for our region. We couldn’t be prouder of this place and this time, and our chance to be part of something great. Second, our mission will always be the same—to improve people’s worlds. We’re passionate about architecture, engineering, and interior design, but we’re more passionate about how our work affects the lives of people every day.

On the 25th of each month this year, we’ll share some great memories from the past and some big dreams for the future. Keep an eye on our social media pages for more on DC25.
Thank you for the part you’ve played in our success. It’s been a great journey so far, and we’re just getting started.
